Aqua Aerem Innovation
Aqua Aerem is an innovative technology developer with a commercial-stage venture generating off-grid solar energy, water, and green hydrogen to meet the world's great energy and environmental challenges.
Aqua Aerem's lead project is the US $10.75 billion Desert Bloom Hydrogen, a commercially ready project using proven technology, and is strategically located to readily access key infrastructure and export markets.
The world-first, commercial-scale project based at Tennant Creek in Australia's Northern Territory will produce truly renewable hydrogen for export and domestic use, with production due to commence in 2023.
Desert Bloom Hydrogen will produce hydrogen at less then US$2/kg by 2027, export approximately 410,000 tonnes of hydrogen when at full operation, and has signed MoUs with key off-take partners.
It was recently awarded Major Project Status by the Northern Territory Government.
The project's competitive advantage is its innovative use of proven technology to produce commercial quantities of green hydrogen without impacting precious water resources - reducing the capital and operating costs typically associated with producing green hydrogen.
Desert Bloom Hydrogen is strategically located in the Northern Territory of Australia with access to the world's highest solar irradiation, key existing generation, and pipeline and transport infrastructure. The pipeline infrastructure can be repurposed for hydrogen and allows the export of hydrogen from the Asia-adjacent port of Darwin.
